Lionel Newman Jr.
Los Angeles, Ca
Honored by Phyllis Brooks-Newman
The day I had my mammogram, before I returned home, the doctors office had left a message for me stating I needed to return a day later. From that that day forward Lionel has been there with me and for me. He reassured me when I knew he himself was fearful of the results of the biospy. When the results were positive he started doing his homework, he had questions, asked for stats on the prognosis, what our options were, and what we had to look forward to. He never had a down moment in front of me. He gave me so much hope and encouragement, that we would get through this. He loved me through the surgery, chemo, radiation, and now the hormone therapy. My last radiation treatment ended the friday before Oct 1st, allowing me to start the National Breast Cancer Awareness month as a survivor. I can never in this lifetime express how much his love and support has meant to me, and journey through this. Even when I felt I couldn't endure another chemo treatment, he held me, encouraged me, and comforted me. I love you so much Lionel Newman.
