My cancer was skin cancer on the end of my rectum instead of doing any kind of surgery they treat it aggressivly with chemo & radiation. I was so sick from it all that I really almost died, all of my Drs. were even not sure if I was going to pull through. Dave & I had been seeing each other for over a year & became engaged. When I was diagnosed Wasn't something that he bargined for.I told him that if this is not something that he didn't think he could handle then he could leave & it would be ok! He stayed through it all. When I was in the hosp. for weeks he was there every night, I had to tell him to go home. When I was finally strong enough to go home I had a 3000cc bag to carry around, had to be ijected with vitamins, I had ports to be flushed, he came home everyday at lunch time to flush them for me & make sure I was ok & eating. He really took great care of me, if it wasn't for him, I'm not sure of how my out come would have been! It has been over 5 years now I am cancer free & I still have this wonderful man in my life!
